LHH is looking for a full-time Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our client growing company in Seattle, WA. This position will be a 6-month contract that is fully onsite at the client location.

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of the accounts receivable process, ensuring accurate invoicing, timely collections, and proper account reconciliation. This position is critical to maintaining the company’s cash flow and providing excellent customer service to clients.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Invoicing and Billing

  • Prepare and issue invoices to customers accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Ensure proper documentation and compliance with company policies for all billing activities.

  1. Collections and Customer Follow-Up

  • Monitor accounts to identify outstanding balances and initiate follow-ups on overdue payments.

  • Communicate with customers via phone, email, or mail to resolve payment issues and ensure timely collections.

  1. Account Reconciliation

  • Reconcile customer accounts, investigate discrepancies, and apply payments appropriately.

  • Coordinate with the accounting team to ensure accurate reporting of receivables.

  1. Reporting and Analysis

  • Generate and analyze accounts receivable aging reports.

  • Provide management with updates on outstanding invoices and collections progress.

  1. Customer Service

  • Address customer inquiries related to invoices, statements, and payment discrepancies.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing or account issues efficiently.

  1. Process Improvement

  • Identify and implement improvements to accounts receivable processes to enhance efficiency.

  • Stay updated on best practices and industry standards in accounts receivable management.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business preferred.

  • 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable or a related role.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP) and Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting.

  • Problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • Certification in bookkeeping, accounting, or related areas is a plus.

 

Compensation: $28-$32/hour DOE

Pay Details: $28.00 to $32.00 per hour
