Risk Management Leader

Casualty insurance professionals looking for a change - Lockheed Martin has an opportunity to lead its casualty programs and is seeking candidates that enjoy challenging projects and a fast-paced cultural environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage Casualty Insurance Programs: Develop, implement, and administer company casualty and property-loss insurance programs, including Automobile Liability, Commercial General Liability, Errors and Omissions Liability, Cyber Liability, and Workers' Compensation.
- Insurance Renewals: Prepare applications, underwriting submissions, and renewal presentations; prepare renewal planning reports for Lockheed Martin management; oversee negotiations with carriers; prepare final renewal proposals for management approval; and obtain and review appropriate documentation for binding of coverage.
- Claims Management: Manage the reporting and adjustment of claims, ensuring compliance with all policy reporting requirements and applicable legal requirements.
- Risk Management Support: Provide risk management support to the Missiles & Fire Control business area, including identifying risks through review of contracts, developing appropriate risk management strategies, and documenting risk review through written analyses.
- Project Management: Direct the analyses and definition of potential loss areas and determination of appropriate type and level of loss protection to be insured.
- Insurance Contract Management: Oversee preparation of specifications for broker or underwriter bids, evaluate bids, and recommend or conclude insurance contracts.
- Risk Control Programs: Develop and coordinate risk control programs to prevent losses and reduce premiums.
- Minimum 10 years of experience: In corporate risk management, insurance brokerage, or insurance company operations.
- Familiarity with Property/Casualty insurance concepts: Effective communications skills (verbal and written), demonstrated knowledge of the insurance industry, and demonstrated business acumen.
- Desired skills: 15 years of experience in corporate risk management, insurance brokerage, or insurance company operations; Bachelors and/or Masters degree, ARM and/or CPCU certifications; demonstrated technical expertise in Casualty insurance and Workers' Compensation, including claims management and cost containment; familiarity with U.S. Government contracting practices and acquisition regulations; effective Project Management skills; and effective use of Microsoft Office applications primarily Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
