This exciting opportunity is with a leading Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) that specializes in the installation, maintenance, and repair of mission-critical equipment, including Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS). The company helps data centers reduce energy and operating costs by providing innovative solutions for modernizing their electrical infrastructure. They achieve this by ensuring the reliability of mission-critical facilities for the world's largest organizations, including hyperscale and enterprise customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop new business opportunities and maintain and grow existing client relationships in the mission-critical data center space.
  • Assist with the technical aspects of sales calls with the sales team, resellers, and other stakeholders to close deals.
  • Establish positive relationships with existing business partners to generate additional business.
  • Conduct technical sales calls to leading data center colocation providers, enterprise, and hyperscalers to present the company's value proposition.
  • Attend and arrange booth space at trade shows and conferences to market the company's critical power OEM services.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of relevant technical sales experience in the data center, critical facilities, and critical power industry.
  • Established business contacts in the data center, director of facilities, facilities managers, and engineering fields.
  • Contacts with engineering firms, general contractors, data center providers, construction companies, rep firms, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Background with critical power OEMs is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience selling UPS products from Emerson, Liebert, Vertiv, APC, MGE, Schneider, Eaton, Powerware, PDI, Toshiba, or other relevant OEMs is a plus.
  • Membership or attendance at local professional chapters and conferences, such as IEEE, 7x24 Exchange, Uptime Institute, DCD, Bisnow, and iMasons.
  • Ability to build long-term cooperative partner relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Effective communication skills, including emails, phone calls, and meetings.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Previous experience in the military or as a military veteran in a relevant field is highly desirable.
