Mining Sales Director

We are seeking a seasoned sales professional with 5-8 years of experience in surface excavation mining. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading teams in bulk material handling - mining and minerals, with expertise in proposal development and high-level executive engagement.
As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to meet sales targets and objectives. You will collaborate with internal departments, such as marketing, sales, and engineering, and external partners and allies to develop, implement, and market strategies, plans, and business models.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing strategic plans to meet sales targets and objectives
- Establishing partnerships and business relationships to market products or services
- Collaborating with internal departments and external partners to develop and implement strategies
- Leading the sales department in deal negotiations, contract development, and due diligence
- Providing input and expertise to the management team on new product or service features
- Researching and learning emerging technologies and trends
- Managing the CRM software and overseeing tradeshow participation
- Planning and executing marketing and promotions, including advertising and marketing strategies
- Estimating demand for proposed projects based on market research and consumer trends
Required skills and qualifications include:
- 5-8 years of sales experience in the mining surface excavation industry, with 1 year or more of managing staff in bulk material handling/mining and minerals
- Proposal development experience and ability to engage with high-level executive officials
