Job Summary

The Director of Administrative Operations will oversee the administrative and operational functions of the CURB Engineering Research Center at Washington University. This role involves providing strategic leadership, managing Center operations and staff, coordinating research initiatives, fostering collaborations, and ensuring compliance with university and NSF policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the center's strategic plan in collaboration with faculty and university leadership.
  • Operational Management: Oversee the operations of the center, including budget planning and monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Staff Management: Oversee staff recruitment, performance evaluation, and professional development.
  • Research Coordination: Collaborate with faculty members and researchers to facilitate research activities and projects.
  • Partnership Development: Establish and maintain partnerships with industry, government agencies, and other research organizations.
  • Proposal Development: Assist in proposal development and fundraising efforts to support the center's activities.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare regular reports and presentations for the Center Executive Leadership Council, Deans Council, and National Science Foundation.
