About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Pastry Chef to join our team at Marriott International Inc. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the pastry culinary team and ensuring the highest quality of pastries and desserts in our restaurants and hotels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Pastry Culinary Team: Supervise and manage employees, ensuring they understand expectations and parameters, and maintain a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Ensure Culinary Standards: Develop, design, or create new applications, ideas, relationships, systems, or products, including artistic contributions, and maintain food preparation handling and correct storage standards.
  • Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring the quality, standards, and meeting the expectations of customers on a daily basis, and empower employees to provide excellent customer service.
  • Maintain Culinary Goals: Achieve and exceed goals, including performance goals, budget goals, team goals, etc., and develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work.
  • Support Training and Development Activities: Ensure disciplinary procedures and documentation are completed according to Standard and Local Operating Procedures (SOPs and LSOPs), and participate in training staff on menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and unique tastes.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area.
  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 2 years experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area.
What We Offer
