Position Overview

The Clinical Laboratory Technician plays a vital role in the healthcare team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of laboratory specimens. This position involves a variety of responsibilities that contribute to patient care and the overall mission of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform pre-analytical tasks including specimen collection, identification, and order entry.
  • Handle communication duties effectively, managing inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Utilize multiple electronic systems for scheduling, test ordering, and patient information management.
  • Maintain proficiency in operating laboratory equipment and instruments.
  • Demonstrate excellent dexterity and analytical skills while managing workload efficiently.
Qualifications

Applicants must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent. A minimum of one year of experience in a high-complexity laboratory setting is preferred, particularly in specimen collection and data entry.

Required certifications include a valid California Phlebotomy Technician certification and Basic Life Support certification. A valid driver's license is also necessary at the time of hire.
