Senior Clinical Embryologist

Position Overview:
This role is designed for a highly skilled and fully qualified embryologist with extensive expertise in assisted reproductive technologies. The candidate should be proficient in all essential embryology procedures, including oocyte grading, semen preparation, pronuclear assessment, embryo evaluation, embryo transfer, cryopreservation techniques, and advanced micromanipulation methods such as ICSI and blastocyst biopsies for genetic screening.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute ART techniques as needed, including human oocyte micromanipulation, assisted hatching, embryo transfer, and retrieval of human oocytes.
- Conduct assessments of fertilization status and perform vitrification and thawing of embryos and oocytes.
- Oversee patient management within the laboratory setting.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all laboratory processes and ensure compliance with quality control standards.
- Monitor quality-related issues and propose corrective actions as necessary.
- Ensure the upkeep of laboratory equipment and troubleshoot any malfunctions effectively.
- Prepare media for laboratory applications and manage inventory of laboratory supplies.
- Provide training and supervision to laboratory staff as required.
- Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for the Andrology Service.
- Accurately document procedure charges in the EMR and maintain program statistics.
- Adhere to documentation requirements as mandated by regulatory bodies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in biology or a related discipline.
- Master's degree in Embryology or a comparable biological science; PhD is preferred.
- Certification in embryology and andrology (ABB).
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a laboratory performing over 250 cycles annually.
Compensation:
The starting base compensation for this position ranges from $72,000 to $91,000, adjusted based on experience and faculty rank. This figure does not include variable compensation or additional productivity incentives.
