Job Summary

Fairlife, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities and Office Manager to join our team in Chicago, IL. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for fostering a professional, safe, and fun work environment that is employee-centric and delightful.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resolve escalated office and facilities issues, ensuring a high level of professionalism and initiative.
  • Lead the local safety committee, develop safety guidelines, and conduct safety drills.
  • Oversee office security, including visitor sign-ins, badges, and other initiatives.
  • Maintain policy compliance related to office facilities, such as dogs, conference rooms, and gym usage.
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors and building management/landlord.
  • Oversee the Office and Facilities budget, applying proactive planning and attention to detail.
  • Manage office seating capacity and assist with new employee onboarding.
  • Partner with Executive Assistants to plan office events and support set-up and clean-up.
  • Own relationships with local community representatives and serve as a point-person for local community events.
  • Manage the Office Assistant and serve as a backup, as needed.
  • Own and manage team storage spaces in the office and off-site.
  • Develop and enforce office organization guidelines.
  • Oversee the transition to a new office location in the West Loop.
  • Ensure the overall safety and security of employees and the building.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of office or facilities management experience required.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead, collaborate, analyze, and make important judgment calls.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple responsibilities and priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of AV and IT.
  • Previous experience managing direct reports.
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
  • 8 hours sitting/standing/walking.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
