Job Overview

Atlantic Plywood is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to strengthen customer relationships and drive volume and profit growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales and profit growth strategies to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, identifying opportunities to increase sales and market share
  • Prospect and develop new business opportunities, creating a pipeline of potential customers
  • Provide expert product knowledge and support to customers, ensuring they have the necessary information to make informed purchasing decisions
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement sales and marketing strategies
  • Monitor and analyze sales data, identifying trends and areas for improvement

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in customer-facing sales, preferably in the building products industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and analyze key market trends
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on results and customer satisfaction

Work Environment:

  • 85% of time spent in-market, interacting with customers and prospects
  • Occasional overnight travel required, with the possibility of weekend or evening work for customer events
