Soil Fertility Program Specialist

Job Summary:
The University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to fill the position of Program Associate - Soil Fertility. This role will be responsible for implementing the goals and objectives of the Extension soil fertility programs to improve the understanding of soil fertility, nutrient management, and forage crop management for hay and pasture production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement the goals and objectives of the Extension soil fertility programs.
- Communicate and collaborate with extension and research faculty, staff, students, and other stakeholders as needed.
- Operate in an independent, decision-making role in the planning and execution of the soil fertility program.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Soil Science, Agronomy, or a related field plus three (3) years of related professional experience, OR a related Master's degree.
- Current Arkansas Pesticide Application License and FAA part 107 Remote Pilot License.
- Good written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Working Conditions:
The Program Associate will be expected to work outside during sunny conditions and wintry conditions. Ability to travel, with the potential of long working hours that may include occasional overnight stays.
