Job Summary

The Arkansas Government Job is seeking a highly skilled Program Specialist to join our team in the Workers' Compensation Commission. As a Program Specialist, you will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and revising program training courses and materials related to your area of assignment.

This is an in-person position, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in community and state resources, computer programs, and training and program development techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepares outreach and promotional materials, including newsletters, brochures, and flyers.
  • Serves as program representative for various initiatives and public relations activities.
  • Provides statewide training and technical assistance on program education and program development.
  • Researches, develops, and prepares educational materials and conducts workshops designed to educate the public.

Requirements:

  • The formal education equivalent of a bachelor's degree in general business, public administration, or a related field.
  • Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Office of Personnel Management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Regular and prompt attendance.
  • 1 year of experience with workers' compensation claims or related field.
  • Minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute.
  • Ability to problem solve, handle competing priorities, and multitask.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of transactions.
