Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our team at DaVita Inc. As a PCT, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care, monitoring patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment, and educating patients on kidney dialysis-related topics.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care, including monitoring patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment
- Monitor patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and oxygen saturation
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare team
- Assist with patient education on kidney dialysis-related topics
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to work a full-time variable schedule with rotating Saturday shifts
- Ability to work as early as 4:30am
- Must be comfortable working around blood and needles
- Must be comfortable mixing acid or bicarb
- Physical and mental ability to work long hours (some shifts are 12+ hours) on your feet
