Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Feline Veterinary Technician to assist our veterinarians in providing top-quality care to our feline patients. As a Feline Veterinary Technician, you will be responsible for restraining and holding animals for examination and treatment, assisting in medical procedures, and maintaining accurate medical records.

Responsibilities:

  • Restrain and hold animals for examination and treatment
  • Assist in medical procedures, including anesthesia and surgery
  • Prepare laboratory specimens and record results in patient medical records
  • Manage and oversee medical treatments, including administering SQ fluids and placing IV and urinary catheters
  • Take high-quality digital radiographs and complete all relevant medical records entries for patients
  • Ensure that all patients are comfortable, fed, watered, and clean

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Associate's degree in a related field preferred
  • Veterinary Assistant Certification preferred
  • At least one to two years' experience preferred
  • Experience handling a variety of animals
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Basic math and writing skills
  • Ability to express compassion
