Novant Health Ballantyne Pediatrics is actively looking for a Licensed Clinical Support Specialist to carry out essential administrative and clinical responsibilities that ensure the smooth operation of our healthcare facility. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our healthcare team to gather diagnostic samples, maintain comprehensive patient documentation, clarify standard medical procedures to patients, and assist in fundamental examinations. Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Must have graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant Program that includes a clinical externship; the curriculum must cover pharmacology and medication administration. Fully online medical assistant programs are not accepted. Certification/registry must be achieved by the end of the six-month period following hire, with an education agreement signed. Acceptable certifications include CMA with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), CCMA with the National Health Career Association (NHA), RMA with the American Medical Technologists (AMT), and others.
- Experience: Previous experience in a medical office is preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: Current certification as CMA, RMA, or CCMA is required.
- Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete both generic and department-specific skills validation and competency assessments.
