We are seeking a Cybersecurity Operations Administrator to become a vital part of our team. This role is designed to be hybrid, requiring a blend of in-office and remote work.

The selected candidate will join a dynamic and innovative IT Security Team dedicated to safeguarding our enterprise's operational capabilities. This will be achieved through the deployment of robust security measures and the implementation of standards and controls that cater to both commercial and governmental sectors.

  • Monitoring security tools and implementing Zero Trust principles.
  • Evaluating critical risks and assisting in the development and execution of remediation plans.
  • Focusing on tools that maintain and monitor best practices in alignment with NIST/CMMC compliance.
  • Ensuring the security and integrity of Maxar's significant missions.

Key responsibilities will also involve:

  • Collaborating with IT teams to assess compliance with NIST/CMMC controls.
  • Conducting risk assessments for identified vulnerabilities and assisting in the implementation of treatment options.
  • Providing accurate responses to client security questionnaires and evaluating compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations.
  • Updating Cybersecurity documentation, including policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Promoting a security-focused culture within the IT department.

Qualifications for this role include:

  • Active or the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Level Clearance.
  • A minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in Cybersecurity and Compliance.
  • Recent experience working directly with Cybersecurity, regulatory governance, and IT security practices.
  • Experience in documenting and maintaining Cybersecurity guidelines, policies, and standards.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present material effectively to diverse audiences.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology/Security, Computer Science, or Engineering is preferred.
  • Knowledge of networks, operating systems, applications, and cloud services.
  • Experience with policy development for Federal or DoD Information Security Programs.
  • Certifications related to Cybersecurity are advantageous.
