About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Executive to join our SAS Energy Team. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for finding new and delivering additional value to our existing customers in the Utilities industry.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software or analytics sales, with a proven track record of success in the Energy/Electric Utilities Vertical. You will be comfortable working in a team environment and driving results, with a strong ability to build consensus within prospect accounts to sell $1M+/multi-year contracts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sell software, solutions, and services to current and prospective customers, working with other sales/pre-sales/domain/personnel to position and leverage sales opportunities to acquire, grow, and retain customers within assigned territory.
  • Fulfill a wide range of requests for information from prospective customers, qualifying the level of opportunity and resources required.
  • Prospect within a territory or account to uncover business needs, implementing aspects of territory and account management and development.
  • Work closely with pre-sales resources and executives to facilitate timely response to highly qualified, high-revenue potential opportunities.
  • Prepare standard quotations and proposal information as needed, working with other departments to create and finalize contracts and set time schedules for delivery services.
  • Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization's secure software development goals.
Requirements
  • 5 years of experience in software or analytics sales, with experience in the Energy/Electric Utilities Vertical preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business/Marketing/Communications/Engineering, or equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience.
  • Self-motivated, proactive sales individual comfortable with finding and advancing opportunities.
  • Ability/experience in building consensus within prospect accounts to sell $1M+/multi-year contracts.
  • Comfort and confidence to work in a team environment and drive results.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with analytics software.
  • Experience selling into Electric Utilities.
  • Experience selling $1m/multi-year deals.
  • Experience driving multiple opportunities forward while maintaining pipeline levels.
  • Experience in developing Account/Market strategies to maximize pipeline build and revenue generation.
