Position: Activity Assistant (Community Life Assistant)

Compensation: Up to $17.80/hour based on experience

We are currently looking for an Activity Assistant to join our team at The Shores, a Senior Care Community situated in a vibrant coastal area.

Qualifications for the Activity Assistant Role:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • CNA license is required.
  • Preferred completion of a 90-hour activity course.
  • Minimum of one year of general work experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in organizing and scheduling community activities and programs, ensuring effective communication with residents to encourage participation.
  • Conduct individual visits and lead assigned programs.
  • Support residents during outings and field trips.
  • Facilitate transportation for residents to various activities.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records for residents.
  • Document daily attendance and individual visit records.
  • Collaborate with local community groups to plan joint initiatives that benefit residents.
  • Ensure necessary supplies are available for activities and programs.
  • Contribute to residents' care planning, including assessments and progress notes.
  • Support CNA staff with household tasks such as bed making, light cleaning, and assistance with meals.
