Medical Receptionist Job Description

OrthoArizona is seeking a skilled Medical Receptionist to join our team of renowned healthcare providers. As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Answer phone calls in a prompt, courteous, and helpful manner, screening and routing calls as needed.
  • Create phone notes in the patient electronic medical record and provide information to patients.
  • Assist in indexing patient documents to the correct patient chart.
  • Assist in routing electronic faxes to the correct location fax folder and/or uploading to the correct patient chart.
  • Perform other duties as needed during downtime.
Requirements:
  • Excellent customer/patient service skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Working knowledge of computer programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and perform training on practice management software.
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least one year of medical office experience.
  • Bilingual a plus.
  • Basic phone handling skills.
