Position Overview

SUMMARY: M3 Placement is in search of a Chief Executive Officer to lead our organization. This role is perfect for a dynamic, innovative, and dedicated professional who possesses exceptional leadership and strategic management capabilities, along with a passion for developing creative solutions.

As the Chief Executive Officer, you will be tasked with overseeing the strategic direction and operational execution of our member-focused organization. Your responsibilities will include enhancing member engagement, fostering partnerships with related entities, and ensuring the effective delivery of programs. This is a full-time position that may require travel and offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

LOCATION: Remote

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies aimed at significantly boosting membership and revenue while maintaining high retention rates.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with the Board of Directors and key stakeholders.
  • Advise the Board on policy modifications and the creation of new initiatives to advance the organization's mission.
  • Oversee the execution of all authorized contracts and commitments.
  • Prepare an annual budget proposal, ensuring the safeguarding and proper management of the organization’s assets and resources.
  • Approve all organizational communications, collaborating with external public relations firms as necessary.
  • Engage with lobbyists, participate in legislative discussions, and represent the organization’s interests in media engagements.
  • Supervise the production of newsletters and timely communications for members.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Committee to achieve financial objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations governing the organization’s activities.
  • Organize and facilitate annual meetings and various member gatherings, both in-person and virtually.
  • Deliver presentations to external organizations to foster alliances and enhance membership.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree; additional qualifications or certifications are advantageous.
  • 7-10 years of experience in membership organizations, with at least 3-5 years in executive leadership roles focused on membership growth and retention.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
  • Expertise in Program Management, Membership Development, Public Relations, Finance, and Public Policy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Proven track record in designing and executing successful recruitment campaigns through various channels.
  • Experience in legislative advocacy and familiarity with governmental processes.
  • Ability to create and manage annual budgets effectively.
  • Knowledge of investment management principles.
  • Experience as a spokesperson, including presenting before legislative bodies and engaging with media.
