Position Overview

Our Manager-In-Training (MIT) program offers a unique opportunity to learn and grow within a well-established company. As a new associate, you will participate in a tailored interactive program lasting approximately sixteen (16) weeks, focusing on various aspects of managing your own account, including:

  • General Training & Comprehension - Gain hands-on experience in housekeeping, heavy housekeeping/floor tech, and laundry worker roles, while learning to operate and instruct others on industrial cleaning equipment.
  • Leadership Development - Assist in training and quality control in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Policies & Procedures - Learn to provide leadership and support to ensure quality standards, inventory levels, safety guidelines, and customer service expectations are consistently met.
  • Reporting - Train in maintaining accurate records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment for management review.
  • Training - Responsible for staff training and quality control to meet HCSG standards, including regular assessments of work quality.
  • Leadership - Manage responsibilities such as payroll submission, staffing, coaching, purchasing, inventory maintenance, and budgeting.
  • Communication - Effectively relay directives from management to staff.
  • Safety - Ensure adherence to safety protocols and proper use of cleaning solutions, while maintaining a sanitary environment.
  • Punctuality - Maintain consistent attendance and timely completion of assigned tasks.
  • Customer Experience - Represent HCSG positively through courteous interactions with supervisors, co-workers, and clients.
  • Resident Experience - Foster positive interactions with residents, staff, and facility guests.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and the ability to follow instructions while performing routine tasks.
  • After training, utilize leadership skills to perform responsibilities independently and safely.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting are necessary.
  • Must be reliable and punctual.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies is required.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
  • Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
  • Must reside within the service area.
