Position Overview
Our Manager-In-Training (MIT) program presents an exciting opportunity to learn and develop within a well-established company with over 45 years of experience. As a new associate, you will engage in a tailored interactive program featuring hands-on and computer-based training lasting approximately sixteen (16) weeks. This program encompasses various aspects of managing your own account, including:
- General Training & Understanding - Acquire the skills to perform the roles of housekeeper, heavy housekeeper/floor technician, and laundry worker, while learning to operate and instruct others on various industrial cleaning equipment.
- Leadership Development - Assist in training, quality control, and in-servicing staff in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements.
- Policies & Procedures - Provide leadership and support to ensure quality standards, inventory levels, safety guidelines, and customer service expectations are consistently met.
- Reporting - Maintain records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment in a report format for HCSG and facility management.
- Training Responsibilities - Oversee training, quality control, and in-servicing of staff to meet HCSG standards, including regular assessments of work quality.
- Managerial Duties - Handle responsibilities such as payroll submission, staffing patterns, coaching, discipline, purchasing, inventory maintenance, and budgeting.
- Communication - Effectively relay directives from client managers and administrators to HCSG staff.
- Safety Protocols - Utilize protective gear appropriately and ensure compliance with safety guidelines and infection control procedures.
- Punctuality - Maintain consistent attendance and timely completion of assigned tasks.
- Customer Interaction - Represent HCSG positively by following instructions and maintaining courteous interactions with clients and colleagues.
- Resident Engagement - Foster positive interactions with residents, staff, and facility guests.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and the ability to follow both oral and written instructions while performing routine tasks.
- After completing training, utilize leadership skills to fulfill responsibilities independently and safely.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and report completion are necessary.
- Must maintain a reliable attendance record.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies is required.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Must be comfortable working around food and cleaning products.
- Residency within the service area is required.
