Position Overview

Our dynamic Manager-In-Training (MIT) program offers a unique opportunity to learn and grow within a well-established company. As a new associate, you will participate in a comprehensive interactive program lasting approximately sixteen (16) weeks, focusing on various aspects of managing your own account, including:

  • General Training - Gain hands-on experience in housekeeping, heavy housekeeping, and laundry operations, including the use of industrial cleaning equipment.
  • Leadership Development - Assist in training and quality control of staff according to established policies and regulations.
  • Policies & Procedures - Learn to provide leadership and support to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer service expectations.
  • Reporting - Train in maintaining records related to income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment.
  • Training Responsibilities - Take charge of training and quality control to meet HCSG standards.
  • Managerial Skills - Develop skills in payroll, staffing, coaching, and budgeting.
  • Communication - Effectively relay directives from management to staff.
  • Safety Practices - Ensure adherence to safety guidelines and proper use of cleaning solutions.
  • Punctuality - Maintain consistent attendance and timely completion of assigned tasks.
  • Customer Engagement - Represent HCSG positively and interact courteously with clients and residents.

Qualifications

  • Positive attitude with the ability to follow instructions and perform routine tasks.
  • Ability to utilize leadership skills post-training without supervision.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
  • Must be punctual and reliable.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies as required.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform tasks for extended periods.
  • Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
  • Must reside within the service area.
