Position Overview

Senior Content Editor

Location: Remote

Security Clearance: TS/SCI REQUIRED

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, refine, and produce a diverse range of documents adhering to established language, style, publication, format, presentation, classification, citation, and source standards.
  • Ensure a consistent voice across significant publications by reviewing and editing documents.
  • Conduct thorough technical reviews of documents focusing on grammar, spelling, punctuation, and stylistic accuracy, while providing guidance to authors to enhance clarity, completeness, organization, logic, relevance, consistency, and suitability for the target audience.
  • Adapt and modify documents for various audiences as needed.
  • Collaborate with graphic design specialists to create suitable formats for documents.
  • Manage the processing and distribution of documents in both hardcopy and digital formats.
  • Compose reports, briefings, articles, and procedural documents.
  • Develop quality assurance guidelines for team and office outputs, mentor other editors, and support customer engagement initiatives.
  • Assist with emerging requirements as directed by the Government.


Essential Qualifications: Proven expertise and experience in substantive editing, copyediting, and publication review. Proficient in standard geospatial software applications and tools, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint, JIRA, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign.
