As a key member of our editorial team, you will provide expertise and direction to colleagues regarding editorial content and stylistic standards, as well as the effective use of communication tools and channels.

YOUR CONTRIBUTION TO THE TEAM

The Lead Economic Content Editor position allows you the autonomy to shape your daily tasks while collaborating with dedicated professionals to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Enhance the clarity and reach of our Economic and Strategic Research (ESR) outputs for diverse audiences by establishing editing standards and overseeing the drafting, editing, and proofreading of materials for various platforms, including digital, print, and academic venues.
  • Offer editorial assistance for all departmental publications.
  • Engage with authors throughout the writing journey to ensure that the clarity of the text and the accessibility of research findings are maintained for a wide range of audiences, from laypersons to specialized experts.
  • Provide strategic insights for the development of marketing and communication materials aimed at internal staff, corporate clients, and business partners.
  • Guarantee that all materials are succinct, clear, and consistent with ESR research outputs and corporate standards.
  • Collaborate with economists to ensure that departmental outputs effectively convey essential findings and insights.
  • Oversee the ESR publication workflow and review processes, coordinating with internal teams and regulatory bodies while recommending enhancements to existing procedures.
Qualifications

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Minimum Required Experiences:

  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in editing technical content to ensure accessibility for a broad audience.
  • Proficient in presenting information and ideas in an engaging and comprehensible manner.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of fundamental economic concepts and research methodologies.

Desired Experiences:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in English or Journalism, with coursework in economics strongly preferred.
  • Experience in managing publication processes or working within a large financial institution is highly desirable.
