Role Summary

As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in guiding editorial standards and content development. Your expertise will help ensure that our communications are clear and accessible to diverse audiences.

Your Contributions

In the role of Senior Economic Editor, you will have the autonomy to shape your daily responsibilities while collaborating with a dedicated team. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Enhancing the clarity and accessibility of our Economic and Strategic Research (ESR) outputs through meticulous editing and the establishment of drafting standards for various formats, including digital and print publications.
  • Providing comprehensive editorial support for all departmental publications.
  • Collaborating with authors throughout the writing process to ensure that research findings are presented clearly and are understandable to both general and specialized audiences.
  • Offering strategic insights for the creation of marketing and communication materials tailored for internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Ensuring that all materials are concise, coherent, and aligned with ESR research outputs and corporate standards.
  • Working closely with economists to guarantee that departmental outputs effectively convey essential findings and insights.
  • Overseeing the ESR publication workflow and review processes, coordinating with internal teams and regulatory bodies, and recommending improvements to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications

Experience and Skills

Minimum Required Experience:

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in editing technical content for diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in presenting information in an engaging and easily digestible manner.
  • A solid understanding of economic principles and research methodologies.

Preferred Experience:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in English, Journalism, or a related field, with coursework in economics being highly desirable.
  • Experience in managing publication processes or working within a large financial institution is preferred.
