Role Overview:
The Automotive Service Technician is responsible for inspecting and servicing vehicles upon delivery to the dealership, performing minor repairs or adjustments to ensure vehicles are in saleable condition.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Sign an acceptance for each vehicle delivered.
2. Conduct inspections of vehicles for compliance with safety regulations and identify noticeable defects, including dents, scratches, torn upholstery, and mechanical issues.
3. Inspect surfaces to detect minor chips and scratches in paint.
4. Start the engine and drive the vehicle to test steering, brakes, transmission, and engine performance.
5. Activate power equipment such as electric windows, seats, radio, horn, lights, and directional signals to verify operational standards.
6. Replace defective items according to specifications using hand tools.
7. Install optional equipment specified by the customer or Dealer, such as outside mirrors, rugs, or seat covers using hand tools.
8. Install or repair major mechanical, hydraulic, or electromechanical equipment, including radios, air conditioning units, power steering, and power brakes using hand tools.
9. Perform minor mechanical repairs and adjustments as necessary.
10. Tune engines using appropriate testing equipment and tools.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 6-12 months of relevant work experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
- General mechanical skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- Capability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
- Manual dexterity, sound judgment, and ability to operate power and hand tools safely.
- Ability to operate an automobile.
