POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Risk Consultant will be responsible for developing and executing safety, regulatory, and best practice risk mitigation programs for our clientele. This role involves collaboration within the HUB Risk Services Division, working alongside certified safety, property, security, and environmental professionals with diverse industry experience.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Risk Consultant will collaborate with HUB International producers and clients to establish and implement safety, regulatory, and best practice risk mitigation programs. The primary responsibilities include:
  • Delivering exceptional service to clients in the Carolina and Mid-Atlantic Regions, while also supporting additional clients across HUB International's North American operations and Specialty Practices.
  • Demonstrating initiative as a Senior Risk Consultant with a proven history of managing and servicing large national accounts across various industries.
  • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders in a dynamic environment to meet deadlines and foster positive business outcomes.
  • Exhibiting proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Utilizing digital communication platforms like ZOOM, MS Teams, and GoToMeeting effectively.
  • Overseeing and coordinating extensive project activities for field consultants, including multi-location and organization-wide risk enhancement service plans to promote positive business results.
  • Conducting loss analysis and trend assessments to pinpoint client focus areas.
  • Performing audits and evaluations at client locations.
  • Facilitating management and employee training sessions for clients as required.
  • Building, nurturing, and managing relationships with insurance carriers and vendor partners.
  • Providing advocacy and oversight of insurance carrier loss control inspections and recommendations for our clients.
  • Offering feedback, guidance, and direction to internal and external stakeholders to foster positive business outcomes.
  • Contributing to regional and divisional projects as needed or requested by HUB Risk Services.
Essential Qualifications

Required Experience
  • 2-5 years of experience as a risk/loss control consultant in insurance brokerage or carrier environments, or as a risk/safety manager in industry, or in risk/safety consulting.
  • Generalist experience preferred, with a focus on Construction and Transportation being advantageous.
  • Bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health or a related engineering field is preferred.
  • Progress towards professional risk/safety designations is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA, MSHA, DOT, and/or NFPA standards is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • A high degree of self-motivation and discipline is necessary.
  • Willingness to travel and work beyond standard hours as needed.
  • Experience in CAT Response, Data Analytics, and Emergency Response is a plus.
  • Familiarity with risk technology, digital solutions, AI, and analytics is advantageous.
  • Designations such as CSP, ARM, CFPS, ABCP, CSHM, etc., are beneficial.
