About the Role

The Human Resources Generalist is a key member of the Great Dane LLC team, responsible for supporting all functions of the Human Resources department. This role requires a strong generalist with expertise in employee relations, HRIS, compensation and benefits, talent management, and organizational development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain employee-related databases and prepare reports to support HR functions and company operations.
  • Partner with local management to communicate HR policies, procedures, and laws.
  • Conduct workplace investigations and advise managers on employment issues.
  • Assist with monitoring employee wages and promotions, and process personnel-related documentation.
  • Administer benefits enrollment and handle leaves of absence requests.
  • Protect the interests of employees and the company in accordance with company policies and governmental laws.
  • Handle full-cycle recruiting efforts, including job postings, candidate interviews, and reference checks.
  • Maintain employee hardcopy files and input employee data into the HRIS database.
  • Process various forms related to documenting HR activities.
  • Handle employee inquiries on policies, benefits, payroll, and compensation.
  • Assist the HR Manager in identifying and resolving employee relations, employee morale, work performance, and organizational productivity concerns.
  • Assist the HR Manager in managing and implementing engagement committee events.
  • Complete documentation for employment verifications, medical support, and unemployment claimant responses.
Requirements
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
  • At least two years of experience working with an HRIS, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3 years of progressive Human Resource experience, including employee relations and HRIS.
  • PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to perform statistical analysis.
  • Previous HRIS experience, including applicant tracking systems.
  • Advanced experience in MS Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of recruiting, human resources, and organizational development practices and procedures.
  • Ability to recruit and evaluate applicants using independent judgment and discretion.
  • Understand administrative procedures and systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Positive attitude, high energy, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented.
