Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Director to join our team at CAT inc. As a trusted business partner, coach, and advisor, you will play a critical role in driving business results through effective HR strategies and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the company's business objectives.
  • Lead and manage a high-performing HR team to drive results through a simple, easy-to-understand structure.
  • Collaborate with Corporate HR Vice President to ensure alignment and implementation of workforce strategies.
  • Plan, lead, develop, coordinate, and implement policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization's human resource compliance and strategy needs.
  • Administer or oversee the administration of human resource programs, including worker compensation, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations.
  • Develop and manage performance evaluation processes and ensure continuous performance improvement and career development opportunities for employees.
  • Identify staffing and recruiting needs; develop and execute best practices for hiring and talent management.
  • Oversee recruiting for non-drivers positions in all companies.
  • Provide yearly performance evaluations for all companies.
  • Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy for all companies.
  • Handle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance processes.
  • Identify training needs, design and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
  • Monitor and ensure the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Create and maintain a positive and inclusive workplace culture, fostering employee engagement, motivation, and retention.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to corporate management.
  • Ensure effective HR service delivery and drives continual improvement; ensures activities leverage best practices, are coordinated, and focus on achieving desired results in alignment with the organization's strategy.

  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Result-oriented and autonomous.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Masters degree preferred.
  • At least 10 years of human resource management experience is required.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
