Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the activities of the research regulatory committees (IRB, IACUC, IBC, RLSC) to ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and guidance.
  • Provide day-to-day management of the IRB services and processes.
  • Support the compliance committee faculty chairs.
  • Design and implement training programs on research compliance, human subjects, animals in research, radiation and lasers, export regulations, and the responsible conduct of research.
  • Provide administrative support for the electronic-based record system, Cayuse IRB, for research compliance committees.
  • Coordinate implementation and management of institutional policies and procedures related to research compliance.
  • Work with the Director of Research Compliance to collaborate with University Counsel and Human Resources in management of the Financial Conflict of Interest reporting process.
  • Ensure compliance with export regulations.
  • Advise faculty and University administrators on regulatory requirements related to research.
  • Contribute to management of long-range planning projects to address current and anticipated needs of the compliance program.
Requirements
  • Minimum: An earned Bachelor's Degree.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Public Administration, Social Work, Education, or a related field. A demonstrated work history in research compliance or any compliance field.
  • Additional considerations: An earned Master of Public Administration or a Juris Doctor is preferred.
