Job Overview
Position Summary:

The EYES Program Instructor will facilitate the EYES curriculum for middle and high school students. This position involves collaborating with educational institutions, referral agencies, parent advisory groups, and students. The Instructor will operate on a flexible schedule, responding to the needs of the program.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver comprehensive services to students enrolled in the EYES initiative, from initial referral through to program completion.
  2. Instruct students in pre-vocational skills, including career exploration, job readiness, and interview techniques.
  3. Conduct curriculum training sessions effectively.
  4. Create tailored lesson plans for student engagement.
  5. Provide pre-vocational skills training in designated schools, utilizing both in-person and virtual platforms.
  6. Coordinate class schedules with partner schools.
  7. Oversee and instruct classes at educational institutions and at the Tommy Nobis Center.
  8. Maintain effective classroom management and control.
  9. Promote community awareness regarding the summer EYES program.
  10. Prepare and submit monthly progress reports for program participants.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in special education, rehabilitation, sociology, behavioral sciences, business administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in an educational role.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.

  • Experience with transition students.
  • Delivery of job readiness training.
  • Development of marketing materials for programs.
