Job Overview
Position Summary:

The Instructor for Early Youth Employment Services (EYES) is tasked with delivering the EYES curriculum to middle and high school students. This position also involves collaborating with schools, referral agencies, parent advisory groups, and students. The PRN Instructor must exhibit flexibility and will operate on an as-needed basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee the provision of services for students enrolled in the EYES program, from referral to exit.
  2. Instruct pre-vocational skills curriculum (including career exploration, job readiness, interview techniques, etc.) to students in middle and high school.
  3. Conduct and implement curriculum training.
  4. Create lesson plans tailored for students.
  5. Facilitate pre-vocational skills training in designated schools, either in-person or via virtual platforms.
  6. Coordinate class schedules with participating schools.
  7. Supervise and conduct classes at various educational settings.
  8. Maintain effective classroom management and control.
  9. Promote community awareness regarding the summer EYES program.
  10. Compile and finalize monthly progress reports for participants.
Qualifications and Skills
Education / Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in special education, rehabilitation, sociology, behavioral sciences, business administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in an educational role.
  • Experience in teaching or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
