Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Instructor for Early Youth Employment Services (EYES) is responsible for delivering the EYES curriculum to middle and high school students. This position involves collaborating with educational institutions, referral sources, parent advisory groups, and students. The Instructor will work on an as-needed basis, demonstrating flexibility in scheduling.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver comprehensive services to students enrolled in the EYES program, from initial referral through to program completion.
  2. Instruct students in pre-vocational skills, including career exploration, job readiness, and interview techniques.
  3. Conduct curriculum training sessions effectively.
  4. Create tailored lesson plans to meet the needs of students.
  5. Provide pre-vocational skills training in designated schools, utilizing both in-person and virtual platforms.
  6. Coordinate class schedules with partner schools.
  7. Oversee and facilitate classes at various educational locations.
  8. Maintain a productive and controlled classroom environment.
  9. Engage with the community to promote the summer EYES program.
  10. Prepare and submit monthly progress reports for program participants.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in special education, rehabilitation, sociology, behavioral sciences, business administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in an educational role.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
