Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Swim Program Deckhand and Instructor at Atlanta Swim Academy. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our Learn-To-Swim Program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Coaching: Teach and coach all levels of our Swim Lesson program, providing a safe and supportive learning environment for our students.
  • Pool Operations: Supervise pools and other areas to ensure safety and progress, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Leadership and Communication: Work closely with the Swim Program Manager, communicate effectively with parents and children, and conduct shift meetings with staff as needed.
  • Administrative Tasks: Administer reports and paperwork, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with company policies.
Requirements
  • Swim Background: A swim background is required, with LG and WSI certifications preferred but not necessary, as we will provide internal certification.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Possess effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing, and project a professional and positive image at all times.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring 100% customer satisfaction.
  • Availability: Be available to work weekends, with a commitment to Saturday or Sunday shifts.
Working Environment

As a Swim Program Deckhand and Instructor, you will be required to stand and/or remain in a pool for a significant period of time without a break. Additional physical efforts may include walking, climbing stairs, bending over, reaching overhead, crouching, kneeling, balancing, pushing or pulling, lifting or carrying weighted items, repetitive use of hands, arms, legs, and hand/eye coordination.

You must be confident in working with families, children, and co-workers, possessing excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills, including problem-solving, detail-focused, and confident decision-making skills.
