Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Instructor for Early Youth Employment Services (EYES) is tasked with delivering the EYES curriculum to middle and high school students. This position also involves coordinating with educational institutions, referral sources, parent advisory groups, and students. The role requires flexibility and operates on an as-needed basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the provision of services for students enrolled in the EYES program, from referral to completion.
  2. Instruct students in pre-vocational skills, including career exploration, job readiness, and interview techniques.
  3. Conduct and implement curriculum training.
  4. Create tailored lesson plans for students.
  5. Facilitate pre-vocational skills training in designated schools, either in-person or via virtual platforms.
  6. Coordinate class schedules with participating schools.
  7. Supervise and instruct classes at various educational settings.
  8. Ensure effective classroom management and control.
  9. Promote awareness of the summer EYES program within the community.
  10. Compile and submit monthly progress reports for participants.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in special education, rehabilitation, sociology, behavioral sciences, business administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in an educational role.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
