Director of Business Development

Barrow Brain and Spine is seeking a seasoned business development professional to drive growth and expansion of our physician-owned specialty practice.
The Director of Business Development will be responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives to identify new business opportunities, forge partnerships, and expand market presence in Arizona.
This key leadership role will work closely with executive leadership to align business development efforts with the practice's overall strategic goals, leveraging industry insights and market trends to inform decision-making.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing growth strategies to expand service offerings, market reach, and profitability.
- Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with partners, physician networks, healthcare providers, payers, and other key stakeholders.
- Driving initiatives to increase patient volume, optimize service lines, and identify additional revenue streams through new services and referral networks.
- Leading negotiations for new business deals, partnerships, and service agreements, ensuring favorable terms that align with the practice's goals.
- Collaborating with existing and potential physician partners and other departments to enhance business development efforts and ensure alignment with clinical objectives and overall practice goals, mission, and values.
- Collaborating with the CFO and finance team to analyze business models, prepare budgets, and project ROI for business development initiatives.
- Monitoring and reporting on the performance of business development initiatives.
- Conducting market research to identify emerging trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
- Developing and executing strategies that strengthen the practice's brand, patient engagement, and market positioning.
- Ensuring all business development activities adhere to healthcare regulations and compliance standards, mitigating risks for the practice.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Healthcare Administration, Marketing, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in business development, preferably in the healthcare industry.
- Proven track record of success in driving business growth.
- Strong understanding of the healthcare market, including trends, challenges, and opportunities.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
