Position Summary: As a Warehouse Operations Technician, your primary responsibilities will include operating and maintaining machinery utilized in the cutting and shaping of metal components to precise specifications. This role demands attention to detail, strict adherence to safety standards, and the ability to interpret technical schematics. Your contributions will be vital to the manufacturing process, ensuring the production of superior metal products.

Key Duties:

  • Machine Operation:
    • Operate a variety of metal cutting equipment, including CNC machines, water jets, and bandsaws.
    • Configure machines according to job specifications, ensuring accuracy in dimensions and requirements.
  • Material Handling:
    • Load and unload raw materials and finished goods onto and from cutting machines and storage systems.
    • Ensure proper alignment and secure clamping of materials to avoid cutting errors.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Examine finished products for compliance with specifications and quality benchmarks.
    • Adjust machinery as needed to uphold precision and quality standards.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization in accordance with 5S principles.
  • Equipment Maintenance:
    • Identify and report any malfunctions or operational issues with machinery.
  • Safety Practices:
    • Follow all safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.
    • Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
  • Record Keeping:
    • Keep detailed records of production activities, including machine settings, materials utilized, and time allocations.
    • Document any discrepancies or deviations from standard operating procedures.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with team members, including shift leaders, quality control, and maintenance staff, to ensure efficient workflow.
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management regarding job status and any challenges encountered.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Capability to lift and carry heavy materials as required.
  • Ability to work in a noisy and potentially hazardous environment.
