Key Responsibilities

The Role: Quality Assurance Testing Specialist

As a Quality Assurance Testing Specialist, you will thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, collaborating with software developers and business analysts to evaluate and implement business processes across the organization. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our systems remain efficient, accessible, and scalable. Your focus will be directed towards a specific development team, with the aim of delivering a product that is both stable and dependable.

Core Responsibilities:

The Quality Assurance Testing Specialist will:

  • Design and execute software tests to uncover software issues and their origins.
  • Assess system modifications in preparation for deployment.
  • Document software and application defects using a bug tracking system and communicate findings to developers.
  • Create and maintain a database of known defects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Participate in software design reviews to provide insights on functional requirements, operational characteristics, product designs, and timelines.
  • Evaluate new programming deployments for EDI updates.

Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Testing Specialist or in a similar capacity.
  • Proficiency in T-SQL is required.
  • Familiarity with IAIABC Claims EDI reporting standards.
  • Experience with FROI/SROI reporting is preferred.
  • Background in IT and/or system programming is advantageous.
  • A Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, mathematics, finance, statistics, or computer science is strongly preferred. A combination of other certifications and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
