Summary
This position emphasizes billing and proof of delivery, focusing on completing carrier transactions, collaborating with transportation providers, and supporting internal teams. The goal is to deliver exceptional service levels, such as timely billing, by working closely with warehouses and carriers to ensure accurate and prompt transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow established processes for job reception and picking, adhering to policies and procedures.
- Recommend enhancements to the warehouse management system (WMS) configurations and data.
- Engage with the 3PL network, leveraging technology and fostering relationships.
- Execute tasks with urgency and meticulous attention to detail.
- Comply with processes for customer shipping and transfers.
- Propose modifications to the transportation management system (TMS) configurations and data.
- Meet on-time delivery (OTD) targets by adhering to agreed service levels.
- Ensure timely and accurate freight payment processing.
- Contribute improvement ideas through team project management.
- Maintain professional interactions with internal and external suppliers and customers.
- Provide support to other Logistics team members as needed.
- Utilize M. Holland University (MHU) resources to demonstrate commitment to continuous learning and skill development.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Basic understanding of the distribution business and order-to-cash or procure-to-pay processes.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while consistently meeting tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and experienced with ERP and/or logistics systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills, facilitating regular interactions with various departments and external vendors.
- Capable of process improvement and problem-solving, utilizing the define, measure, analyze, improve, and control methodology.
