We are in search of an Operations Director to manage multiple divisions within our company, including procurement, warehouse management, material selection, inventory oversight, vendor partnerships, equipment, fleet management, and supply chain operations. The successful candidate will be a proactive leader with robust analytical capabilities, outstanding organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to juggle various projects and teams effectively.

This pivotal role is essential for guaranteeing the efficient and economical functioning of our organization while adhering to all regulatory and safety requirements. As a senior leadership position reporting directly to the CEO, the Operations Director will supervise a team of 5-6 personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations Management:

  • Direct and oversee the warehouse operations team, managing inventory control, order processing, and shipping/receiving activities.
  • Implement strategies to boost efficiency, lower costs, and enhance service quality.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operational integration.
  • Promote best practices for warehouse safety, organization, and efficiency.
  • Oversee warehouse personnel, including recruitment, training, and performance assessments.

Procurement and Inventory Management:

  • Oversee the purchasing and replenishment of materials and equipment, managing a substantial monthly budget.
  • Analyze demand trends to establish optimal inventory levels.
  • Select suppliers based on cost and quality metrics.
  • Manage replenishment procedures and conduct warehouse inventory audits.
  • Maintain inventory of truck materials and ensure effective communication with technicians.
  • Enforce stringent security measures within the warehouse.

Tools and Equipment Oversight:

  • Effectively manage the inventory of tools and equipment, including procurement and tracking.
  • Coordinate logistics for repairs, rentals, or relocation of tools and equipment.

Fleet Management:

  • Administer the company’s fleet of vehicles, ensuring maintenance, utilization, and compliance.
  • Develop strategies for cost savings and vehicle safety enhancements.
