Position Overview:

Your Responsibilities:

If so, we invite you to consider joining our team. The Sales Territory Manager Trainee position is structured as a leadership development program lasting 6-12 months. You will be provided with a tailored onboarding plan to acquire and hone the essential skills required for a fast-tracked career as a Sales Leader at PepsiCo.

Location:
The preferred area for this role is within the Southeast Region. Following the completion of the training program, relocation within this region may be necessary.

Potential Relocation Areas:

Upon successful completion of the training, you will receive certification in foundational skills and be promoted to Territory Manager, taking charge of your own designated territory.

Team Development:
You will be responsible for building and leading a team of hourly/commissioned and salaried employees to ensure exceptional market execution, customer service, market share growth, and profitability for your assigned territory.

Sales Leadership:
The Territory Manager will oversee annual sales ranging from $40-70 million and manage 5-10 direct reports by equipping the sales and service teams with accurate information, strategic planning, tools, and training.

Customer Engagement:
This role involves direct interaction with customers and providing essential leadership and guidance to Sales and Service team leaders to surpass sales and growth objectives, utilizing effective relationship-building techniques.

Collaboration:
You will work closely with Key Account and National Account managers to ensure that customer activities align with sales plans.

Sales Process Management:
This position will oversee all facets of the sales process, ensuring that all team members execute effectively and maintain service excellence while adhering to budgeted selling expenses.

Key Responsibilities:
- Convert regional and national priorities into actionable district and route-level plans to meet product volume targets.
- Address complex customer issues and participate in regional planning sessions.
- Actively mentor and develop managers to enhance performance.
- Communicate plans to Sales and Service team leaders through regular meetings and one-on-one sessions to keep them informed and motivated.
- Collaborate with Key Account Managers to create key account strategies and address sales gaps.
- Analyze product business units, provide accurate forecasts, and develop strategies to optimize performance.
- Conduct weekly one-on-ones with each manager.
- Ensure regular work-withs are completed by each manager.
- Set clear expectations, demonstrate managerial skills, and manage performance for improvement.
- Strengthen and develop the Sales and Service team.
- Establish clear, achievable objectives using data and tools to guide the team.
- Implement training, coaching, and development programs for the Sales and Service team.
- Foster a positive work environment, safety culture, and mentorship initiatives.
- Prepare for and engage in regional team planning processes.
- Set productivity and service targets, measuring performance to ensure accountability through Customer Service managers.

Compensation and Benefits:
- The anticipated salary range for this position is between $85,200 - $142,650 based on a full-time schedule.
- Location, job-related skills, and experience will influence the actual starting salary.
- Performance-based bonuses may be available, with a target payout of 10% of annual salary, distributed annually.

Qualifications:

- A clean driving record is strongly preferred.
- Department of Transportation (DOT) certification may be necessary.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.
- Willingness to operate a step van during training.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. periodically.

Preferred Qualifications:
- A degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a proven track record.
