Program Chair Opportunity

Herzing University is seeking a dedicated and experienced Program Chair to oversee our graduate nursing program. As a key member of our academic team, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our students and contributing to the success of our institution.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of the graduate nursing program, ensuring alignment with university goals and accreditation standards.
  • Mentor and support faculty members in their teaching and research endeavors.
  • Collaborate with the team to design and deliver high-quality clinical experiences and student opportunities.
  • Oversee programmatic evaluation and management, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in nursing education.
Requirements
  • MSN with a PhD, DNP, or Doctorate in Education or a related healthcare field.
  • Adult Gerontology Primary Care or FNP Certification and Adult Gerontology Acute Care Certification.
  • Wisconsin or Compact RN license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of online nursing education experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous program chair and teaching experience in a graduate nursing program.
  • Experience with programmatic accreditation.
  • Experience with Canvas as a learning management system.
