Job Summary

Facility MaineHealth Nephrology is seeking an experienced Clinician Educator to serve as the Nephrology Fellowship Program Director. We are seeking a full-time BC/BE Nephrology physician to join our well-established, collegial group of 12 nephrologists and 9 advanced practice providers. For the successful candidate, this position offers:

  • A team-based care model with a collaborative approach to care.
  • A competitive compensation package including relocation assistance, CME expense reimbursement, and malpractice insurance.
  • Our group provides a full array of clinical services that encompass acute and chronic kidney disease, renal replacement therapy, apheresis, critical care, and interventional nephrology, kidney transplantation, renal sonography, and kidney biopsy.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the fellowship curriculum and evaluation system, ensuring the program meets all requirements as laid out by ACGME and Clinical Learning Environment Reviews.
  • Guide strategic planning for the ongoing growth and development of the Fellowship program, in collaboration with the Departments of Medicine and Medical Education.
  • Devote 75% of their time to clinical effort in Nephrology.

Requirements

  • MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Board Certification/Board Eligible.
