Role Overview:

The Anesthesia Program Administrator plays a crucial role in the operational management of Sound Physicians' Anesthesia services. This position involves overseeing daily administrative functions and practice management within the Anesthesia program. The Administrator will engage actively with the site team and collaborate with various hospital departments, including the Medical Staff Office and specialty providers. Reporting to the Program Manager, Regional Director, or VP of Operations, this role requires close cooperation with the Program Medical Director to enhance program performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing and managing the Anesthesia team schedule in collaboration with the Program Medical Director and staffing coordinator, ensuring proactive planning and addressing staffing needs.
  • Facilitating internal staffing discussions with the Program Medical Director and staffing coordinator, addressing scheduling challenges promptly.
  • Coordinating physician and CRNA interviews with hospital leadership and following up on hiring recommendations.
  • Overseeing the orientation process for new physicians and CRNAs, ensuring all onboarding requirements are met.
  • Ensuring accurate payroll documentation for physicians and CRNAs, including shift records and appropriate rates.
  • Acting as a liaison between Sound Physicians and the Hospital Medical Staff Office, ensuring all credentialing and enrollment documentation is complete.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with hospital departments to support the Anesthesia team effectively.
  • Assisting the Program Medical Director with committee participation requests and ensuring Anesthesia representation.
  • Communicating essential updates to the Anesthesia team and maintaining important documentation.
  • Collaborating with internal teams such as Provider Enrollment, Billing, Payroll, and Compliance.
  • Providing administrative support to the Program Medical Director, including scheduling and project management.
  • Organizing monthly team meetings, including logistics, agenda preparation, and minute-taking.
  • Managing incoming communications, including phone calls, faxes, and mail.
  • Maintaining an updated master team list and hospital documentation.

Required Knowledge and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record systems and relevant software (e.g., Sound Connect, EMR).
  • Competence in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook).
Experience:
  • 1-2 years of experience in healthcare customer service or in a medical office, medical group management, or hospital environment.
Compensation: $16-$30 per hour, determined by experience, location, and program complexity.
