Overview:
CV Resources is collaborating with a dynamic healthcare organization seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to enhance their finance department.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the revenue accounting functions, ensuring adherence to GAAP and SEC reporting standards, while delivering precise and timely financial data to inform strategic business choices.

This position demands a comprehensive grasp of revenue recognition standards, particularly ASC 606, along with experience in a publicly traded healthcare environment.


Key Duties:

Revenue Management:
Oversee and execute monthly revenue recognition tasks in alignment with ASC 606. Evaluate and analyze contracts to confirm correct revenue recognition practices. Prepare and validate journal entries and account reconciliations associated with revenue and deferred revenue accounts.

Financial Statements Preparation:
Support the development of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and SEC submissions (10-Q, 10-K). Work closely with external auditors during quarterly assessments and annual audits, supplying necessary documentation and clarifications. Ensure all revenue-related disclosures are accurate and comprehensive.

Process Optimization:
Identify and implement enhancements to boost efficiency and precision in revenue accounting and reporting. Establish and uphold internal controls over revenue accounting procedures to guarantee SOX compliance. Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to refine workflows and maximize the utilization of financial systems.

Data Analysis and Insights:
Conduct in-depth analyses of revenue patterns and discrepancies, offering insights and recommendations to management. Generate ad-hoc reports and analyses as needed to support business strategies and decision-making. Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to revenue.

Leadership and Mentorship:
Guide and mentor junior accounting personnel, promoting a culture of ongoing learning and development. Assist in educating team members on revenue recognition policies and practices. Lead special initiatives related to revenue accounting as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education:
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is essential. CPA certification is highly preferred.

Experience:
A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in revenue accounting, ideally within the healthcare sector. Extensive knowledge of GAAP, ASC 606, and SEC reporting obligations. Experience in a publicly traded organization is mandatory. Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are required.

Skills and Attributes:
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities with meticulous attention to detail. Strong understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance. Proven ability to interpret complex contracts and ascertain appropriate revenue recognition treatment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to collaborate across various departments. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet stringent deadlines in a fast-paced setting. Self-motivated and proactive with a dedication to continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A). Knowledge of healthcare regulations and reimbursement frameworks. Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
