Senior Revenue Accountant

Location:

Position Overview:
CV Resources is collaborating with a dynamic healthcare organization to recruit a Senior Revenue Accountant. We are in search of a meticulous and seasoned professional to enhance our finance department.

The successful candidate will take charge of the revenue accounting cycle, ensuring adherence to GAAP and SEC reporting standards while delivering precise and timely financial data to facilitate informed business choices.

This position demands a robust comprehension of revenue recognition standards, especially ASC 606, alongside experience in a publicly traded entity within the healthcare domain.


Core Responsibilities:

Revenue Recognition Management:

Oversee and execute monthly revenue recognition activities in line with ASC 606. Scrutinize and evaluate contracts to guarantee appropriate revenue recognition practices.

Prepare and assess journal entries and account reconciliations pertinent to revenue and deferred revenue accounts.



Financial Reporting Duties:

Assist in crafting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements along with SEC submissions (10-Q, 10-K). Work in conjunction with external auditors during quarterly evaluations and annual audits, supplying essential documentation and clarifications.

Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all revenue-related disclosures.



Process Enhancement:

Identify and implement improvements to elevate efficiency and precision in revenue accounting and reporting.

Establish and uphold internal controls over revenue accounting processes to guarantee SOX compliance.

Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to optimize workflows and enhance the utilization of financial systems.



Data Analysis and Reporting:

Conduct thorough analyses of revenue patterns and discrepancies, offering insights and recommendations to management.

Generate ad-hoc reports and analyses as needed to support business strategies and decision-making.

Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) associated with revenue.



Leadership and Development:

Guide and mentor junior accounting personnel, nurturing a culture of ongoing learning and enhancement.

Assist in training team members on revenue recognition policies and practices.

Lead special initiatives related to revenue accounting as assigned.



Qualifications:

Education:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is essential.

Certification:
CPA certification is highly preferred.

Experience:
A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in revenue accounting, ideally within the healthcare sector.
Extensive knowledge of GAAP, ASC 606, and SEC reporting standards.
Experience in a publicly traded company is required.
Prior exposure to ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.

Skills and Competencies:
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
Thorough understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance.
Proven capability to interpret complex contracts and ascertain suitable revenue recognition practices.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across various departments.
Capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet stringent deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivated and proactive with a dedication to continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Accounting or Finance.
Experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A). Familiarity with healthcare regulations and reimbursement frameworks.
Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
