Clean Energy is a leading provider of renewable natural gas fuel, and we are seeking a highly skilled Billing Supervisor to join our team.

As a Billing Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the Corporate Billing Team and ensuring that all billing processes are accurate and efficient. You will work closely with the Operations team to resolve any issues that may arise and provide on-the-job coaching and guidance to junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the preparation of bills and invoices to customer accounts
  • Verify that billing is accurately recorded on the accounting ledger
  • Train, schedule, and assign work to staff
  • Develop and implement record-keeping systems, forms, policies, and procedures related to billing
  • Communicate and coordinate billing policies, practices, and procedures with department and company managers and officials, vendors, reporting agencies, clients, and customers
  • Adjust billing errors and resolve customer complaints
  • Identify and resolve problems and inconsistencies and suggest appropriate corrective procedures
  • Support the close process by preparing journal entries for revenue, volume, fuel incentives rebate accruals
  • Ensure the preparation of monthly reconciliation of accounts receivable sub-ledger to general ledger
  • Support Manager with internal and external audits, including all required reporting
  • Responsible for reviewing and updating SOX documentation for billing/revenue-related processes
  • Complete projects as directed by Management
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university required and three to six years or more of related experience
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
