We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Billing Operations Manager to join our team at Clean Energy. As a key member of our corporate team, you will be responsible for overseeing the billing process and ensuring its accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the preparation of bills and invoices to customer accounts, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Supervise the Corporate Billing Team, providing guidance and coaching as needed to ensure high-quality work.
  • Verify billing accuracy on the accounting ledger, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or errors.
  • Develop and implement record-keeping systems, forms, policies, and procedures related to billing, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Communicate and coordinate billing policies, practices, and procedures with department and company managers, vendors, reporting agencies, clients, and customers.
  • Liaise with the Operations team to resolve any issues related to billing and customer service.
  • Adjust billing errors and resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Identify and resolve problems and inconsistencies, suggesting corrective procedures to improve billing processes.
  • Support the close process by preparing journal entries for revenue, volume, fuel incentives rebate accruals, and other related tasks.
  • Ensure the preparation of monthly reconciliation of accounts receivable sub-ledger to general ledger.
  • Support Manager with internal and external audits, including all required reporting.
  • Responsible for reviewing and updating SOX documentation for billing/revenue-related processes.
  • Complete projects as directed by Management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university required, with three to six years or more of related experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Mathematical skills, including ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Knowledge of Accounting software, Database software, Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software.
