Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Stewarding Supervisor to join our team at Balboa Bay Resort & Club. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for overseeing the stewarding services, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation, and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Train Team Members: Lead and mentor a team of stewarding staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet the highest standards of service and quality.
  • Maintain Cleanliness and Sanitation: Monitor and control the maintenance and sanitation of kitchen, equipment, and related areas to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
  • Control Expenses and Maximize Profitability: Manage expenses and optimize profitability within assigned areas, ensuring accurate and prompt billing.
  • Ensure Guest Satisfaction: Work with equipment vendors to maintain optimal performance, and ensure guests receive exceptional service by assuring all assigned areas are properly cleaned and maintained.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain sufficient inventory of supplies and equipment, tracking and recording breakage, and participating in weekly/monthly inventories.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all health, food, and beverage regulations, and follow all standard food handling, sanitation, and health department guidelines.
Requirements
  • Experience: One to two years of increasingly responsible experience in a similar high-volume setting.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead others in the department by mentoring and providing training that results in staff that meets/exceeds guest expectations.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, team members, and guests.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Working Conditions

The team member is subject to environmental conditions found working indoors, with occasional exposure to extreme heat, loud noise, and hazards such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, equipment, and cleaning chemicals.

The team member is required to function in crowded or narrow aisles, passageways, or work areas in the kitchen and dining areas.
